About the role
The Credit Risk Manager oversees credit risk for lending operations. The role is responsible for managing risk frameworks, policies, and monitoring processes to ensure portfolio quality.
This position ensures that credit risk is controlled and aligned with organizational lending objectives as operations expand.
Responsibilities and competencies
- Develop and maintain credit risk policies and limits
- Monitor portfolio performance and key risk indicators
- Review and approve credit decisions and rule changes
- Provide guidance to credit and product teams on risk management
- Prepare risk reports for internal stakeholders
- Risk governance and policy management
- Decision-making under risk constraints
- Leadership and oversight
- Strong reporting and communication skills
Requirements
- Minimum of 2:1 in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in credit risk management
- Experience managing loan portfolios
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for credit risk
