About ADMiT by Principa
ADMiT is an alternative credit risk and scoring solution developed by Principa, a South African credit risk analytics and decisioning firm with over two decades of experience in credit risk management. The platform is designed to assess the creditworthiness of credit-unaware or thin-file individuals who cannot be evaluated effectively using traditional credit bureau data.
Unlike conventional scoring models that rely on historical borrowing behaviour, ADMiT uses psychometric and behavioral assessments to predict an individual’s likelihood of repayment. Applicants complete a short situational judgement assessment, and the system analyses multiple behavioural indicators such as decision consistency, response patterns, and risk tendencies to generate a predictive credit score.
ADMiT has been approved by the South African National Credit Regulator (NCR) as a compliant alternative credit assessment tool. It can be used on its own or combined with traditional bureau data to enhance overall risk decisioning accuracy.
For lenders, ADMiT enables greater financial inclusion, improved risk prediction for previously excluded customers, and more informed credit decisions. Backed by Principa’s analytics expertise, it supports responsible lending while expanding access to credit in emerging and underserved markets.
