About LajanCash
LajanCash is a mobile money and digital wallet service in Haiti, developed through a partnership between Banque Nationale de Crédit (BNC) and fintech company HaitiPay. Launched in 2013, it was one of the early mobile financial services designed to expand access to banking in a country where a large portion of the population is unbanked.
LajanCash essentially turns a mobile phone into a digital wallet, allowing users to store money, send and receive funds, and carry out everyday financial transactions without needing a traditional bank account. It works on both smartphones and basic phones via USSD (*848#), making it highly accessible even in rural areas.
