SIMAH (Saudi Credit Bureau) is the national credit reporting agency of Saudi Arabia, established in 2002 and regulated by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). Unlike traditional banks or fintech lenders, SIMAH does not provide loans directly; instead, it plays a critical role in the financial ecosystem by collecting, analyzing, and providing credit information on individuals and businesses.
SIMAH aggregates data from banks, telecom companies, utilities, and other financial institutions to generate credit reports and credit scores, which lenders use to assess borrower risk.
